'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Repeal

Army officials express serious concerns over the potential repeal of the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy, saying that they need more time to study its implementation.  The policy prohibits self-deemed gays, lesbians, and bisexuals from becoming soldiers, but stops the military from asking about sexual orientation.

Sen. Joe Lieberman, an Independent from Connecticut, with the support of Pres. Obama, plans to introduce new legislature next week, repealing the previous policy.  It would grant more liberties to homosexuals, allowing them to serve openly.

There is no need for repeal. Gays can and do serve without any distinction from any other. They are treated as humans with respect. The Navy does not need additional man overboard drills.
