Obama Ignores Americans' Wishes About Healthcare
From the Editors
Pres. Obama asked both houses of Congress to join together today to help solve “the healthcare crisis” in this country. But, many are saying that the president is ignoring the wishes of American people by forcing them to accept his version of what’s best for their health.
The most controversial part of the bill would allow the government to block “excessive” rate raises by insurance companies. By interfering with the private sector, the government will suffocate the freedoms necessary to maintain a successful market, especially during a time of economic recession.
And how much will all of this cost America? The White House claims its price tag will be $1 trillion over the next 10 years. But, the Congressional Budget Office refuses to estimate the cost, saying that they need more details. As our national debt nears 12.5 trillion dollars, we should weigh the relevance of Healthcare.

| Trying to get millions of people health ins coverage by forcing them to either pay for insurance or break the law, is a non-choice. That is like a mafia guy saying "Uh if you don't pay my friend here, I'm going to have to break your legs". This is why it is taking away our freedom of choice and completely ignores the main fact that I don't have the money in the first place to get health insurance, if I did, I would have it, without the government having to threaten me into getting it. So I don't have the money, and you've broken my legs, what's next? Am I going to be wearing cement shoes and sleeping with the fishes if I can't pay?
And how about we do a healthcare reform that forces these Insurance companies to lower thier prices so we can afford it! They, being insurance companies who CURRENTLY dictate to the dotors what to charge and what to treat, literally charge different rates for medical care and medicine depending on the country they are in. For example, one might have to pay 150 dollars for an inhaler in the United States, whereas that same inhaler, brand and all, will sell for only 6 dollars in a country like Cuba. Healthcare is so expensive in the United States because they know people are willing to pay for it. Now the problem is that, as wages continue to fall and costs of living continue to rise, less and less people are willing to pay for insurance because if they are not sick, they dont need it as they are struggling to keep a roof over thier heads and food in thier bellies. |

| When does a middle man ever cut costs between a supplier and a consumer? Do you remember the last time you waited at the DMV? How healthy are Medicaid and Medicare? What has government ever done well? Or better than a private citizen? Is it just me, or are general practitioners getting dumber since we brought in the middle man of insurance between the patient and doctor? And now the government wants to be a second middle man? And how will adding another layer needing to be paid and make money off the interaction between a doctor and a patient going to cut costs exactly? I have a better idea for cutting costs. We stop paying for unnecessary research on duplicate drugs one drug company just wants to compete with another company over, and focus only on those diseases we don’t have cures for yet. And why don’t we start with keeping simple medicine simple, such as high costs of infertility caused by high costs in making women go infertile through drugs and elective abortions. Stick to the science instead of all the politicized jargon that has taken health care from the practice of medicine into the government getting its hands into the private sector cookie jar because it’s always hungry for more. A middle man always adds one more layer of expense. Now we want both the middle man of insurance to make a profit off us, plus the middle man of government to regulate us. We’re not losing our freedoms by force, but giving it away willingly. |

| Obama needs to listen to the people and leave that dreadful ignore button alone as my conclusion is that he and the bulk of his party seem to prefer the ignore button they certainly do not pay attention to our concerns.
CUT THE COST AND I WILL FEEL BETTER |
