Senate Democrats passed a massive spending bill that inflates government budgets and various government program coffers well above the rate of inflation. Companies and families are making hard financial decisions and cutting back, but the United States Senate is spending more and more money. This ludicrous vote will put the American people in even more debt at a time when America's place in the global economy is unstable at best. Republicans tried to stop the bill through filibuster, but Senator Joe Lieberman cast the deciding 60th vote to stop their attempts.
