| The Talban will just be content to wait it out for 3 years. Any timeline just gives them hope.
Instead we need to imply that we're going to be in Afghanistan forever while referring to it as our 51st state. We have to break their hopes, goals and incentives. |

| And I want the war 'over' right now. But that just ain't gonna happen, boys and girls! I'm not sure Obama understands who these terrorists are and what they believe in. We are going to be fighting these terrorists for decades, probably the rest of our lives. I think the job is too much for Obama, it's way over his head. We made a huge mistake and we'll be paying for it for many years after he's gone. |

| I am sure the President is trying to be optimistic, but unless a suitable amount of troops are sent, we aren't going to see the progress he hopes for. I believe it would be better to defer specific exit dates as it only seems to be problematic to what really transpires. These people do not know how to be a cohesive government. It will require more than brute strength to teach them. Don't promise what you assuridly cannot deliver. People respect you more when you say what you mean, and mean what you say so don't dig a hole of regret. |
